We are based at The Heatons Centre, a large historic building in the heart of Heaton Moor in Stockport. We are located right next door to The Heatons Library.

Best postcode for Sat Nav (Please note this differs from our postal address) is SK4 4DQ

Car Parking

We have free car parking to the rear of the building accessed via Heaton Close. Disabled parking is available right outside our entrance. If the car park is full, there is usually street parking available on the adjacent Balmoral Road.

Heaton Chapel train station is about a 20 minute walk away on a flat, straight route down Heaton Moor Road.

The 197 service stops on Bankhall Road just across the road.

The 23, 23A, and 42 services stop on Didsbury Road, a 5 minute walk away down Moorside Road.

As well as disabled parking, we have a ramp going from the car park up to the front door and a lift inside the building. Our Young Carers team are based in the basement which has a separate ramp.

If you are unsure where to go when visiting us, please go to the entrance next to the large car park (up the stairs and ramp pictured) and use a buzzer to speak to the team. This is what we use as our main entrance.

Dear Friend and Supporter of Signpost

Like many organisations, we are experiencing increased demand for our services alongside reduced funding and donations. To enable our team to work as effectively and efficiently as possible, we have taken the difficult decision to close our phone lines from 1pm, Monday – Friday.

If you do call us in the afternoon, please do leave a message with your name, number and a summary of your enquiry. Our colleagues will be checking voicemails throughout the afternoon and will call you back as soon as possible. This will be within 2 working days. Alternatively, please email

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you in advance for your understanding.
