Money Wise – benefits and financial advice

Money Wise – benefits and financial advice

The Money Wise project helps carers navigate the disability benefits system and social care systems, empowering you to manage your money and debt, as well as budget and plan for the future with an improved understanding and confidence of how to manage your own financial situation.

How we can help

Residents of Stockport can make the most of our team, which includes two Money Wise Officers, who are well-versed in what benefits are available and the eligibility criteria for each. As well as helping you identify suitable benefits and obtain the right forms, we can also offer home visits to assist in filling them in which makes the whole process much less daunting.

We’re here to help with benefits including:

  • Attendance Allowance
  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Personal Independence Payment
  • Carer’s Allowance
  • Council Tax reduction

Dear Friend and Supporter of Signpost

Like many organisations, we are experiencing increased demand for our services alongside reduced funding and donations. To enable our team to work as effectively and efficiently as possible, we have taken the difficult decision to close our phone lines from 1pm, Monday – Friday.

If you do call us in the afternoon, please do leave a message with your name, number and a summary of your enquiry. Our colleagues will be checking voicemails throughout the afternoon and will call you back as soon as possible. This will be within 2 working days. Alternatively, please email info@signpostforcarers.org.uk

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you in advance for your understanding.
