Tour of Avro Heritage Museum for Carers and Cared for

Join us as we go inside the Avro Heritage Museum! This tour will offer carers the opportunity to have a day enjoying the history and fascinating stories of AVRO Heritage Museum and the people involved, along with their cared fors if they wish to bring them along. This trip will be a great chance to make some memories whilst also learning something new or brushing up on your current knowledge. Not only that but we’re very lucky to have been offered this tour free of charge, tickets to this museum normally cost £20 (and an extra £2 for the cockpit tours) so this really is a great opportunity we’re able to offer exclusively to our Signpost Carers!
The tour should take 2-2.5 hours and we’ll all be meeting in the café for drinks on arrival. At this point we’ll spilt the group in half, one half will do a tour of the museum and the other with do the cockpit tour. We’ll meet mid way through back at the café and you’ll have a chance to eat (please bring a packed lunch or snack with you if you don’t wish to purchase it on the day) we will then swap over and enjoy the rest of the day! If you don’t think you’ll be able to stay for the full day you can make us aware and we’ll make sure you do the activity you want first!
Avro Heritage Museum is fully accessible (bar the cockpits which are preserved for authenticity and, as such, steps are used for access) and you can find free parking including 6 disabled access spaces. If you wish to take public transport from Stockport Interchange take the 377 bus and alight at the nearest bus stop located on Boulton Avenue which is a 5 minute walk to the Museum.
If you have any further questions about this great event don’t hesitate to contact us! Tickets for this event are extremely limited and therefore we suggest you book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
