Bramall Hall Private Tour

What Stockport landmark was first mentioned in the Doomsday book? If you guessed Bramall Hall, you’d be right!
We so excited to announce that we’ve been offered chance for our Signpost carers to enjoy a very special private tour of one of the most iconic buildings in Stockport. Having undergone a 1.6-million-pound restoration over the last few years (that’s still ongoing!) and with parts of the building dating back to the 14th century, this tour will be a chance to learn all about this building from expert guides in the company of friendly Signpost faces all free of charge (normally £10) thanks to the amazing people at Bramall Hall. There will also be a quiet space in case you need to talk to a member of Signpost staff about something private or personal away from the rest of the group. We will be asking for a small donation towards Signpost’s admin costs, if this would be a barrier for you we have a few tickets available without this donation.
Please be mindful that as Bramall Hall is a historic building and features staircases, uneven floors and steps down into rooms. Therefore, it is not accessible to all, if you have any questions about this, please get in touch with us or visit the Stockport Council website ‘Bramall Hall Access Guide’.
The tour itself should take approximately 70 minutes but do allow time for drinks in the Stables Café should anyone wish to take part after the tour if you just want to join for the tour you’re free to leave afterwards. We ask you arrive BEFORE 2pm which is when the tour will begin.
No refreshments will be provided by Bramall or Signpost, but carers can use the café (their cost). If carers wish to bring their own food/drink to eat on picnic tables in the grounds outside the Hall, this can be placed in appropriate storage at the Hall as no food or drink can be consumed inside the Hall.
We will encourage donations whilst visiting, towards the restoration and conservation of Bramall Hall and its collections.
Tickets for this event are limited so you’ll need to book on fast to not miss out on having Bramall Hall all to yourself!
