Signpost Stockport for Carers have recently been awarded Best-not-for-Profit at this years
Stockport Business Awards.
The awards ceremony which took place at Stockport Football Club on Thursday 6th October is
organised each year to celebrate, recognise and showcase the very best that Stockport has to offer.
Signpost Stockport for Carers (Signpost) is an independent local charity who have been supporting unpaid carers in Stockport for over 30 years.

I am so proud to be representing an organisation that works so hard to care for others – this award has been hard earned by each and every one of the Signpost team.
Stockport Business Awards is such an important event in our Borough and to win one is an amazing achievement – I can’t quite believe it!
I want to thank the judges for helping us raise the profile of all the unpaid carers in our Borough and get the carer conversation going.Julia Hewer, Director of Signpost
Signpost offers a range of services to support both young an adult carer. For carers aged 18+ they provide counselling, benefits help, emotional support, social opportunities, and access to their Connecting Carers Card.
For young carers, they provide respite via age-appropriate social activities, family support, school liaison and opportunities to simply enjoy being a child or young person away from their caring responsibilities.
Signpost’s win at the Stockport Business Awards recognises the breadth of support services they have to offer, and most importantly helps raise awareness about the extraordinary work carers in the local area do to support others.
